Cooperation Agreement Between Bureau Veritas France and MCI Oman in Final Stages

In order to strengthen international cooperation and promote the exchange of technical knowledge in the maritime industry, senior management meetings were held between Bureau Veritas (BV) France and the Marine Classification Institution (MCI) Oman.

During these meetings, senior officials from both organizations emphasized the importance of expanding scientific and technical interactions between regional and international classification societies. They expressed hope that this bilateral cooperation would serve as an effective step toward improving the quality of maritime services and standardizing safety across the region.

Accordingly, the text of a joint cooperation agreement has been drafted and is currently in the final stages of review and signing by both parties.

Under this agreement, the two organizations will collaborate in the fields of technology, engineering, training, inspection, and the exchange of specialized expertise. The cooperation will include the implementation of joint projects in vessel classification, enhancement of maritime safety, development of technical standards, and the organization of specialized training programs.
